Join our Ballroom Beginners class on Tuesday 23 June as we explore the fancy footwork of Foxtrot.
This class is for people who want to learn ballroom dancing or improve their existing steps. We teach basic social ballroom dancing so that you can get up and dance at any social event like a wedding or special birthday!
This class is not for people who want to enter competitions or people with a lot of experience.
If you come alone we will try to find you a partner (but cannot guarantee it).
Tutor Carolyn Davies says "Over the next 3 weeks we'll be taking you through the basic ballroom foxtrot steps you need for a spin around the dance floor. This is the most elegant of the ballroom dances and fits many styles of music. In addition, on 7th July we'll introduce you to American Social Foxtrot!"
If you fancy something a little more upbeat - try Rock 'n' Roll!
We show you how to dance 1950’s style Rock n’ Roll so you can Rock Around The Clock all the way through summer!
The course will start by teaching the basic steps for the first few weeks then each week we will teach a new step so new Beginners must start in Week 1 or 2.
Head of Dance Development, Clare Limb states "Summer is a great time to brush up on forgotten skills or try something completely new ahead of the season of festivals, wedding and celebrations. Our classes are inclusive of total beginners and those who want rediscover that spring in their step!"
Don't forget to take advantage of our 5 for the price of 4 class offer when booking a block of classes - enquire at the Box Office for more details. Exclusions apply.
All of Déda's classes finish for a Summer break on Saturday 18 July, and will restart in September. Look out for our exciting new Social Dance offer in the Autumn term!
