VOLUNTEERING VACANCIES

We are looking for friendly and reliable FRONT OF HOUSE VOLUNTEERS to join our team. Contact Stevie Spain if you are interested in gaining great experience supporting the smooth running of our performances and events.

Many of our volunteering opportunities are available through our Youth and Community programmes. Email Clare Limb at  or call 01332 374681 for details.

For further information on our Dance Apprentice Artist Scheme contact Isobel Davis, Dance Development and Learning Co-ordinator on 01332 374671 or via email

Déda has also worked with the University of Derby in order to offer various placements and Internships within our organisation - see our blog pages for evidence of their time here.

Want experience of coordinating events, PR, marketing and audience development? We want to hear from individuals who are passionate about making the arts accessible to all.

We’d love to meet people from across the region that believe in Déda’s vision and want to work with us to strengthen our links with communities, reaching new audiences and developing relationships across a range of projects, events and our regular seasonal programme.

You will be representatives of Déda within social and community networks, so it would be great if you already have a good knowledge of Déda’s programme and be confident sharing information (whether in person or online).

You will be the first to hear about exciting opportunities and gain valuable experience of working within a vibrant arts organisation. Equipped with all the marketing materials you need, you will work to increase Déda’s visibility in the community through the distribution of flyers, word of mouth and sharing information with your friends and family. You will contribute to regular meetings; get involved in participation workshops, social events and focus groups as well as getting the opportunity to see high quality dance, theatre and circus work in the Déda Theatre.

I have really enjoyed my time at Déda and learnt so much. I am very grateful for volunteering and working for such an amazing place
