GENERAL MANAGER

Hours: Full time
Salary: £21,000 - £22,500 pa
Based at: Déda, 19 Chapel Street, Derby DE1 3GU

Déda, the Midlands Creative Centre for Dance, Contemporary Circus and Outdoor Performance, is seeking an experienced General Manager to manage the venue and day to day operations.

Déda is a vibrant and inspirational place to work with many opportunities and challenges for a General Manager to thrive on and develop professionally. This newly created role would suit an experienced venue or operations manager looking for a challenge and who enjoys working across a variety of work areas and disciplines.

Candidates will need to demonstrate experience of managing a venue in full or part, administering to the needs of a building, controlling budgets and preparing operational financial reports. Experience of managing people is essential as you will be responsible for a team of box office staff. As such you will need to lead that team to provide the best possible customer services whilst supporting your team to meet sales and fundraising targets.

MARKETING MANAGER

Déda, the Midlands Creative Centre for Dance, Contemporary Circus and Outdoor Performance, is seeking a talented Marketing Manager to lead on and implement its ambitious marketing and audience development plans.

Déda is a vibrant and inspirational place to work with many opportunities and challenges for a creative marketing manager to thrive on and develop professionally. The role would suit a professional marketer that is ready for their first management role or for an experienced manager to move into the arts sector.

You will have marketing experience at senior level within a venue or organisation and educated to degree level. Our marketing manager will need to demonstrate experience in brochure production, press, public relations, social media and direct marketing and managing a marketing budget effectively. Understanding and experience of implementing policies and procedures for DPA, GDPR and fundraising regulations is a significant advantage as would experience of our sales platform Ticketsolve.

As part of Déda’s 20thanniversary in our Chapel Street building, we are looking for volunteers to help promote Déda's work throughout Derby. Download more information here.

Applications are accepted throughout the year, but please get in touch by 31st January 2018 if you would like to support our Spring and Summer programmes.
