Déda is pleased to announce a new Associate Producer to complement the expansion of the Déda performance programme, following the completion of an exciting refurbishment project. The addition of experienced dance producer Phil Hargreaves will enable Déda Director Stephen Munn to continue to develop Déda's family friendly performance events and new programme of circus work.
Phil has a great understanding of the UK Dance Touring market and prides himself on putting audience development at the heart of all his work.
His passion is for taking creative, accessible and entertaining dance to as wide an audience as possible. Over the last five years Phil has worked with Dep Arts, Phoenix Dance Theatre, 2Faced Dance Company and Joss Arnott Dance, and his work as a Producer has seen him partake in a variety of roles including UK & International touring, strategic development and programming.
Phil states "I am extremely excited to be working with Déda on the Dance Programme. It is an amazing venue surrounded by an area not so different to the one I grew up in, so I really do understand the environment which they are working in. This is a great chance to work with the wonderful team at Déda and continue with my passion for ensuring Dance reaches a wide and varied audience."
Stephen Munn, Déda Director said, "I am delighted that Phil will be working with us on developing our dance programme. He has extensive knowledge of the UK dance sector which will allow Déda to continue to present a challenging but accessible programme to its audience."

The Arts Council champions, develops and invests in artistic and cultural experiences that enrich people's lives. We support a range of activities across the arts, museums and libraries – from theatre to digital art, reading to dance, music to literature, and crafts to collections. Great art and culture inspires us, brings us together and teaches us about ourselves and the world around us. In short, it makes life better. Between 2011 and 2015, we will invest £1.4 billion of public money from government and an estimated £1 billion from the National Lottery to help create these experiences for as many people as possible across the country. www.artscouncil.org.uk
