Friday 25th September 2pm – 5pm at Déda

On the first day of Derby Festé 2015 it seems like a great opportunity to bring together producers and artists who are involved in the outdoor arts sector to discuss future opportunities in the region.

The Cultural Olympiad brought about considerable activity in the sector but three years on what is the state of play and is it an improving picture? In the East Midlands the On Site Programme was commissioned by Arts Council England delivered by Déda Producing and a similar programme took place in the West Midlands Making More Of Outdoor Arts delivered by Creative Shift. New initiatives are now coming on line most notably the Arts Council England Ambition For Excellence fund but what does this really offer regional artists and producers?

This informal session will allow for an open discussion which will hopefully help address some of the questions which surround the development of the outdoor arts sector in the Midlands.

Derby Festé begins at 7.30pm which of course everyone is invited to come along to and enjoy. Full programme at www.derbyfeste.com

This session has been organised by Déda, In Good Company & Lou Lomas (Producer).
