The tango is dramatic, passionate, sensuous, elegant and beautiful. It is a dance where the partners share a moment of joy, connection and fulfillment. In the lessons you will be introduced to the tango in a fun and easygoing way, where the emphasis is on communication and spontaneity rather than memorizing long sequences of steps. In no time, you will be involved in the fascinating world of the tango.

After teaching Salsa for many years I was looking for a fresh challenge and in 2001 I attended a Latin Festival in Birmingham and was completely captivated by an couple from Argentina who were doing an Argentine Tango performance, I was completely hooked and decide this was the dance that I wanted to devote myself to learning.
My first teacher was, the now the star of the international show Tango Passion, Juan Manual De Costa, I couldn’t have had a better start, his pedantic approach to posture and technique has inspired my style of teaching ever since. Since then there have been many other top Argentine teachers including Javier Rodrigues, Ricardo Oria and many more.
I started teaching Argentine Tango in Birmingham 2005 and founded Tango Midlands which has become one of the leading Argentine Tango Groups in the Midlands, holding regular weekly classes, monthly Milongas and Tea Dances. Further details can be found on our website www.tangomidlands.co.uk
