Iyengar yoga offers you a gentle yet demanding opportunity to learn well organised sets of postures, leading to greater stamina, strength and physical, emotional and spiritual alignment.
You will use various props including mats and blocks to correctly align yourself within each of the postures and to aid the movement between them, therefore you can tailor the class to meet your own personal needs and abilities.

Andrew Hall, Director of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Birmingham, has been practicing yoga since 1990 and has obtained the Junior Intermediate Level 3 Qualification in Iyengar Yoga.
What to bring: Please wear loose and comfortable clothing that you can easily move about in for the class with bare feet. We provide yoga mats and blocks, however you can bring along your own mat if you would prefer to.
