We have a huge range of classes at Déda in a variety of styles for different abilities. Our friendly Box Office team can help recommend the right class for you, call in or call us for a chat.
Our classes are organized into the following levels:
Level 1: Suitable for beginners, those returning to dance or exercise & people looking to master the fundamentals of a style.
Level 2: Perfect for people seeking progression, skills development and those who want to learn new and more challenging moves or steps.
Level 1 & 2: Designed for all abilities - tutors will ensure all levels are catered for in the session.
Both. The majority of our classes are paid on a drop-in basis, however advanced booking is strongly recommended for popular classes, as they often sell out quickly. If you attend regularly, book 5 classes in one go and only pay for 4. Level 1 Pilates and Aerial are run as courses, participants pay a one-off payment to join the course.
All of our Déda kids classes require a completed enrolment form for each child that attends the class. Forms can be picked up from the Box Office and returned on completion. If there are any changes in details once an enrolment form has been handed in please inform us as soon as possible.
We run two types of classes - drop-in and academy. Our academy classes require a half-termly or termly payment in advance, and attendees are enrolled formly on the class register. For more information or to register your interest, please contact our Box Office at email@example.com
Drop-in classes can be paid on a weekly basis and do not require payment in advance, however these classes are very popular so advanced booking is strongly recommended. For more information please contact the box office on 01332 370911
None of our classes require you to purchase any specialist clothing or footwear to participate - the main thing is to be comfortable and wear clothing which you can move in. Commerical dance is high energy so does require trainers to be worn whilst Yoga and Pilates classes require bare feet. Contemporary is best with socks, no shoes, whilst Ballet classes you can go with just socks or wear ballet shoes.

No. We provide Yoga mats and blocks for Yoga and Pilates classes, but if you would prefer to bring your own please do! You may like to bring a prop along to a class such as Belly Dance – your tutors will advise you.
Yes. Upstairs we have full changing facilities with lockers and showers. Lockers require a token which can be purchased at front of house for 20p.
Yes - we want everyone to enjoy dance and all are welcome in our classes. We have a huge range of classes for children from 18 months upwards and people of all abilities. Déda is an accessible building and a copy of our Access Statement is available online giving more details about the building. Please contact Box Office or speak to the class tutor if you have any concerns.
Please seek the advice of your GP before participating in the class. If you are pregnant you should let your class tutor know at the start of the session.

We do not offer refunds however, if you let us know at the very latest 24 hours before the start of the class we will be able to credit your ticket to your account.
Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your class starts. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late for your class you may not be admitted as you would miss the warm up. If you arrive early, we have the lovely CUBE café|bar for you to enjoy with delicious food and drink and free Wifi and gallery spaces for you to browse.
No, our Theatre has unreserved seating so you just find a seat when you arrive.
We recommend you arrive about 10-15 minutes before the performance starts. You can of course arrive earlier if you prefer, our café|bar is open for food and drinks before performances.
We do allow customers to take drinks into the Theatre, however you must ask at the bar for a plastic tumbler.
Unfortunately we do not allow photographs or video to be taken during performances as it distracts the performers and other audience members. Professional recordings are often available please visit companies websites for more information.
Latecomers are often admitted to performances however this is down to the performing company. Latecomers are normally admitted at a suitable break in the programme. Please ask at Box Office for further information.
No one will stop you leaving the Theatre during a performance however we do ask you to minimize disruption for the comfort of other audience members and the performers.
We have wheelchair spaces available in the auditorium for our performances; please notify our Box Office staff when you book your tickets. We are able to reserve seats next to the wheelchair space so you can all sit together.
Déda does not have its own car park, however, we are well situated opposite the Chapel Street car park. Blue Badge holders can park for up to 3 hours for free. There are bicycle lockers available in Chapel Street car park but you will need to supply your own lock or you can use the Déda's own cycle hoops situated between CUBE café|bar and the main entrance.

During term time our Box Office is open:
On performance nights we will be open until 30 minutes after the performances has started.
Out of term time the Box Office is open 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday.

Yes, all of our Box Office staff are familiar with the Typetalk service. If you prefer to use email please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and our team will reply as soon as possible.
Please ask at the Box Office where our staff will be happy to re-print your ticket for you after checking a few details.
You can receive information from Déda about classes and performances by post, email or both. Either ask at the Box Office where our staff will be happy to add you details to our mailing list or fill in the form on our website. If you purchase tickets at the Box Office we will take your details to hold your tickets under; however you can choose whether we send you information or not.
If you book tickets by telephone we normally hold tickets at the Box Office for collection. We can post your tickets to you at a charge of £1.60, please advise our Box Office team when you book.
Yes just call our café|bar on 01332 374664 to book your table. The CUBE also offers a pre-theatre menu so why not have dinner before you watch a show?
Déda will only refund in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the management.
