As an Arts Award Welcome Centre, Déda offers a range of expertise, opportunities and recourses for young people to access in support of all elements of the Arts Award.

The Déda Dance Development Team has a number of Arts Award Advisors with expertise in delivering bespoke workshops, projects and residencies.

Our extensive class programme enables young people and adults to take part in a variety of dance classes of different styles, taught by professional dance artists.

In conjunction with our class programme, Déda also offers a performance programme and provides a running programme of live art installations around the building, which caters towards the Arts Appreciation section of the Arts Award.

Students working towards their Arts Award can get tickets for performances in the Déda Theatre for £5.
(proof of attendance will be required, other restrictions may apply)

Déda's dance development and learning provision includes curriculum work, out of hours dance provision, creative learning, health and well-being projects, youth dance and continuing professional development.
