Interface 10 County Youth Dance Platform

Monday 17 May 2010
Buxton Opera House

In 2009 the first county-wide youth dance platform for Derbyshire was held at The Assembly Rooms in Derby. This pilot event was a major success, involving over 400 young people from 27 dance groups from Derby City and Derbyshire performing to over 600 audience members.

This year Déda is proud to be presenting Interface 10, the county youth dance platform at the beautiful and historic Buxton Opera House. This provides a fantastic opportunity for young people to perform in a professional venue in the heart of Derbyshire.

How to Apply
To apply for the chance to perform at Interface 10, simply complete the application form and return it to Déda. To support your application you should include a DVD or video of the group’s recent performances or classes.  We would also like your group to submit a personal statement detailing why they want to be a part of Interface 10

From these applications, a panel (made up of members from the U.Dance Derbyshire Steering Group) will decide which groups are most appropriate and will benefit from the Interface 10 experience, alongside seeking to present a diverse and varied programme.

Be aware groups will be chosen based only on their application to Interface 10, therefore please ensure your group’s application is the best possible representation of their work.

Deadline for applications: Friday 12th February 2010
Groups will be notified of the panel’s decisions the week commencing the 22nd February 2010

If you would like any more information about applying for Interface 10, please contact Clare Limb, Dance Development Manager on c.limb@deda.uk.com. Or call the Déda Box Office on 01332 370911 and ask to speak to Clare or Rachel in from the Dance Development Team.
