A large-scale art installation on the Strand.

Art In The Heart

An urban art exhibition transforming empty space into eye candy, spreading throughout the Cathedral Quarter. Featuring the work of local and regional artists. Organised by Shakeout, Derby.

Speak Freely Festival

A visual arts festival involving performance, film, interactive video installation, photography and painting. Work will be exhibited at Derby University Markeaton Street, and Déda on Chapel Street as well as in venues around the city.

The highlight will be a day of events at St. Werburgh’s Church on Saturday 27th September. 11am—6pm – ‘The Back of My Head’ (video installation) 11am—6pm – Dissolving Tarkovsky (film installation) 4pm and 4.30pm – ‘Ram, Jam & Concertina’ (a multi-artform performance by Cyril Seaton’s Cycle Roots)

Saturday 27th September at 7.45pm – Choral Concert with six choirs commemorating the 50th anniversary of the death of British composer Ralph Vaughan Williams.

Sunday 28th September at 3pm – the annual St Francistide Animal Service
