Déda is pleased to announce a packed spring season full of inspiring performances from professional companies alongside a dynamic class programme to get you and your whole family dancing into the New Year.

Déda’s adult class programme has been updated to include some fantastic new classes including Freestyle Tap, a fresh and quirky tap class to help you master rhythm and timing. Dance Yourself Fit is a brand new fitness class combining hot and funky dance moves with a full body aerobic workout – perfect for helping to get you back into shape after Christmas. Running alongside our regular Yoga, Pilates and Zumba classes you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to fun and friendly fitness classes to help you spring into the New Year.

As always, Déda’s performance programme presents the best theatre for younger audiences. This season balletLORENT present a magical show for our youngest audience members with Underneath the Floorboards. Join John on a magical journey through a bottomless box that leads underneath his floorboards. What, or who will he find?

Acclaimed dance company Motionhouse perform Scattered at Déda in March, the only UK tour date of the season. This electrifying show contains state of the art projection which will have an amazing visual impact in our intimate theatre.

Other highlights include Retina Dance Company’sLayers of Skin which will feature local dance artists performing alongside the company and former Déda Artist Katie Green returning with her new work Matters of Life and Death which was developed in our building.

Déda
Déda (formerly known as Derby Dance) is a unique venue located in Derby city centre offering a dance-focussed arts programme. The building houses two performance spaces, two professionally equipped dance studios, conferencing facilities and the CUBE café|bar.

With a class curriculum of almost 50 classes a week and an extensive community development programme Déda is one of the key cultural organisations in the city.

Déda receives funding from Arts Council England and Derby City Council.
