The last poetry-packed Words@CUBE open-mic night of 2008 in Déda’s CUBE café bar will take place on Tuesday 2 December, not 9 December as previously advertised.
Words@CUBE is the perfect place for local wordsmiths and literature fans to celebrate language this winter.
This increasingly-popular monthly event provides a great opportunity for writers from all walks of life to spread their words in front of an appreciative live audience, who can sit back, relax and enjoy their performances in a friendly and supportive environment.
As always, host Simon French will be on-hand to make sure that there is plenty of encouragement for performers and lots for the audience to enjoy.
An experienced and well-respected performer, Simon has appeared at literature festivals and open-mic venues throughout the country, with his poetry published in many magazines. He has also performed his poetry on the radio as part of the BBC Video Nation series.
Tickets for Words@CUBE on Tuesday 2 December at 7.30pm are £2 (£1 if reading on the night), available from Déda Box Office on 01332 370911.
The first Words@CUBE night of 2009 will take place on Tuesday 10 February.
