On Saturday 20 March at 8pm, Srishti return to Déda with their current production.
These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things is a glittering selection of Srishti’s most popular works from the past few years, marking the 20-year professional performance career of founder Nina Rajarani and celebrating her recent MBE award in the Queen’s 2009 Birthday Honours for her Services to South Asian Dance.
Srishti is a Bharatanatyam dance company that exists to create and present work that maintains the authenticity of Indian classical dance and music, whilst presenting these forms in innovative ways and within contemporary contexts. The performance at Déda includes the emotive solo Sringara, the complex and rhythmic Kadala...is it love?, along with Quick! which won the 2006 Place Prize, Europe’s largest choreographic competition.
