Déda announces two opportunities for artists

Déda aims to offer support and development to artists through its performance and dance development programmes recognising that dance practitioners require different levels of support at different points in their careers.

Déda|Artists - Support for dance practitioners

Two opportunities will be available in April 2010 for artists who share Déda’s ethos and ambitions.

Resident Artist / Dance Manager (2 years)
We are looking for an artist or company that needs a base and an administrative infrastructure to plug into. This is a great opportunity to become part of the dynamic East Midlands dance ecology.

Regional Artist (1 year)
We are looking for an East Midland’s artist or company to take advantage of this support package, aimed at regional artists who require research and development time plus access to facilities in order to develop their practice.

For more information about these opportunities please contact Rachel Austin at: r.austin@deda.uk.com

Both positions are open to artists who incorporate elements of dance within their practice.

You will be asked to apply in writing, giving an idea of how this opportunity would benefit you at this point in your career. Applications must be submitted by the 11th February 2010 with interviews 22nd / 23rd February 2010.

Déda|Artists will commence April 2010
