Job - Trainee Producer
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Déda team as a Trainee Producer to gain valuable skills within one of Derby’s leading cultural organisations. Déda is a creative centre in Derby specialising in dance, contemporary circus and outdoor performance. We are passionate about developing talent and this is an opportunity to join the team on a bespoke training programme that will provide you with essential skills for future employment in the world of culture.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about the arts, is local to Derby City/Derbyshire), interested in career development at any stage of life and someone who is interested in learning new skills. Our activity connects with a broad range of communities and we are passionate about ensuring that our team is reflective of the community we surround.
Our mission is to deliver an exceptional programme of dance and physical performance to as wide an audience as possible and our Trainee Producer will play an integral role in making that happen, working across a variety of departments and projects. We are looking for someone to start in April 2020, and the training programme runs for 12 months.
Hours of work may include some evening and weekend working.

Volunteer - Funky Bunch Ambassador Scheme
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Déda to gain valuable skills within one of Derby’s leading cultural organisations. Déda is a creative centre in Derby specialising in Dance, Contemporary Circus and Outdoor Work. Applicants should be able to demonstrate outstanding customer service, teamwork, communication and sales technique.
The Funky Bunch – Déda Ambassadors Troupe
Déda is committed to ensuring our programmes are relevant and current, seeking to work in partnership with those who live and work in Derby and Derbyshire. We are launching The Funky Bunch - a new troupe of local people to help the Déda team develop and shape our artistic projects to ensure they are ambitious and accessible to a wide range of people from Derby and Derbyshire.

Support decision making and help to develop the Déda performance, festival and artistic programme.

Experience arts events across the UK as part of our troupe touring programme.
Have exclusive access to Déda events and behind the scenes activity.
Social opportunities with a range of people across Derby and Derbyshire.
Network with new friends, colleagues and future Troupe leaders.
Receive bursary support towards travel to meetings and events.
And most importantly, free FOOD at each of our teatime troupe meetings.
Number of recruits required: 8
Age guidance: 18+
Time Commitment: 6 teatime troupe meetings
Between 2/3 visits to events
Support towards connecting programmes to local communities.
