Head of Dance Development and Learning
I have significant experience of creative producing in a learning and participation context. My work in engagement ranges from large scale participation projects to bespoke education projects with a social justice agenda. I pride myself on making sure that the participant journey in any Déda project is meaningful, relevant and authentic. I come from a background in the arts in community and education and I have a strong focus on children and young people’s dance, dance and disability and creative ageing. I have been the strategic lead for Dance Development and Learning at Déda for 13 years and during this time I have developed an in-depth understanding of the range of needs that the city of Derby and Derbyshire has in relation to social mobility, health and wellbeing and community cohesion.
