Creative Producer
Manya is committed to producing playful and adventurous work that has the capacity to create added value, bring together people and communities, and facilitate valuable and lasting experiences in the arts. She has over 20 years’ experience of producing and delivering creative arts and cultural projects for a diverse range of groups and communities.
She has extensive experience as a practicing artist, writer, and director within the realm of contemporary performance, which provides her with an ingrained knowledge and up-to-date understanding of relevant current debates, issues, and practices in which she accesses within her practice. Her experience in making work both in theatres and in non-conventional theatre spaces, such as schools and libraries, enables her to understand the importance of scaffolding sensory layers into work for audiences which can bring to life the story in in the different settings, ensuring it’s a transporting experience wherever you see it.
She is excited by work that embeds inclusive approaches and is responsive, to enable those who have been marginalised and face barriers to both participate meaningfully and have creative agency.
