Déda is a creative centre for Dance, Contemporary Circus and Outdoor Performance, located in the heart of Derby and connecting locally, nationally and internationally.
Déda has something for everyone! We host 50 dance and movement classes each week for all ages and abilities and present over 70 performances annually in our 124 seat Theatre. We have a café, free visual arts exhibitions and are part of local festivals including Format Photography Festival and Derby Book Festival. We also host a BA (Hons) Dance degree in partnership with the University of Derby, and deliver projects across Derby in hard to reach communities, low income areas and healthcare settings using dance to enrich people's lives.
We also produce Derby Festé an annual international street arts festival. We are an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation and a registered charity (1053633). Our mission is to deliver an exceptional programme of dance, contemporary circus and outdoor performance to as wide an audience as possible and be recognised for our outstanding contribution in the field of dance development and learning.
