Yin Yoga; a style of yoga whichexplores the practice of internal quieting and cleansing.
Yin Yoga allows the Yin tissues to be exercised as well as supporting the mind-body connection & working with the subtle body, where we experience the energetic benefits. As the elasticity of our connective tissue diminishes with physical activity and aging, Yin is essential for injury prevention and joint health.
Yin Yoga also incorporates principles of traditional Chinese medicine with yoga postures, restoring energy and calming the nervous system.
You will hold reclined or seated postures for at least 3 minutes using props such as bolsters and blocks to allow you to explore a deeper sensation within the connective tissues and meridians.
You will enter into a deep state of relaxation where you can let go of your worries, to develop a greater sense of awareness and contentment.
