Déda's mission is to deliver an exceptional programme of dance, contemporary circus and outdoor work to as wide an audience as possible and be recognised for our outstanding contribution in the field of Dance Development and Learning.

We ensure all of our strands of work support our mission, from our children's classes to our Performance groups, to our Higher Education offer and then supporting our graduates and emerging artists, on to supporting artists at varying levels of their careers, as well as our work in schools and community groups across the city. We have over 25 years’ experience delivering dance classes, performances and workshops in Derby, and our Higher Education courses place us firmly where education meets the profession. In the field of dance and physical performance, Déda is championing great art for the city and region.

Over the next 3-5 years we plan to increase our artistic programme strands of Talent development, Outdoor performance and Audience Development working to support Derby’s wider strategic agendas around Place Making, Social Mobility and Cultural Regeneration.
