Déda Saturday Academy Class Tutor
Lydia started dancing when she was 3 years old, learning ballet and tap at her local dance school. She carried on from there, adding Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft and Pointe work to her skillset, until she was 18. She can still remember doing her first ever dance show with them, as a 'Jungle Jiver' in 'A Little Princess'!
She then came to Derby, to start her Early Childhood Studies degree, and became a part of the University Dance Team. She loved her time on the team, taking part in several competitions and performances, and becoming Secretary of the committee in her final year.
During her time at University she also found Déda! She started volunteering for the summer clubs and then supporting Saturday classes and other events, also working in the Déda Café|Bar for a while, and then becoming a lead tutor for various Déda classes.
